Hello again ,hope you are enjoying my posts ,Andy not any better with his cough but the doctor has seen him again and said its not on his chest ,but he is still waking me up in the night coughing ,he has taken to the sofa a couple of times ,but i can still hear him ,he needs to stop smoking , so do i ,lol,he has gone to the hospital today for calorie counting, because his blood sugars have not been good lately ,i don't think they are when you are not well anyway ,the weather is turning colder and might be having a covering of snow at the weekend,love the snow but not the cold ,I'm going to start my Christmas shopping tomorrow with my mother in law at doncaster ,hope its not to busy, ttfn ,xx, ps would someone who reads this try and leave me a comment so i no its working, thanks ,

headaches,

hello friends ,Andy is still coughing bad and is on his second lot of antibiotics ,its been a bit upsetting, im tired the next day ,and i have been suffering with a lot of headaches lately ,but we will get over it ,we don't think we will be having Christmas down south this year because they have no spaces at the renal unit in Brighton ,so were having it at home with mum and dad children and grandchildren which will be nice ,love the kids around at Christmas, Andy is waiting to hear if his going on the transplant list ,his had lots of test lately but just waiting to hear so fingers crossed ,,last week i helped out at a center me and then i helped make some decorations for the school ,which i really enjoyed doing so i decided to join the tenants association which i will start next month, its only a couple of hours a week so it gets me out and gives me something to do and i like to help people anyway ,my friend Rachel joined and she has panic attacks and is really doing well in her situation because it giving her something to do ,i had my grandson kye today and it was lovely he was really funny ,he is talking really well for a two year old three in June ,he loved it here he didn't wont to go home ,bless ,anyway be back soon, ttfn xx the pic is of kye and leo ,how cute ,xx

cold weather means bad chest,

hello sorry not wrote for sometime ,well Andy has been very well for some time now ,but this week he has a cold which has gone on to his chest his been to his gp today and got some antibiotics, so hopefully will help him,i have been down south to my sister which was great had a good night out ,also saw sister and brother in law who are doing well ,Christmas is looming and like every year its panic time ,but not panicking just yet ,i recently have been in contact with my mum which is nice cos we haven't spoken for years and was nice to see her coping after her loosing my dad this year,i think she misses him and puts on a brave face ,but shes keeping busy . Andy cant wait for the new renal unit in basset law to open it will make life easier for him ,we recently been told it is going to be open earlier than they thought which is good news,we are hoping to go down south for Christmas this year if Andy can get dialysis in Brighton ,for him to have dialysis there some one has to going away as well,so it might not happen yet ,,but fingers crossed,that's it for now, the pic is off Andrew and me at my sister Joanna's 40 birthday party, ttfn xx

A new addition ,

At last our new grandson son is here after making a late appearance,,,,he was born on the 31 august at 11.50 ,he weighed 7lb 13 ,and Kelly and mark has named him Leo ,was supposed to be a Leo because he was due on the 21 of august ,i was at the birth along with Kelly's partner mark and marks mum Lyn ,it was so amazing to watch a baby being born ,i was there when she gave birth to kye but i thought that was really heart braking because Kelly had a really bad time ,,but this time she done brilliant,i cried with joy and so did Lyn and mark,talk about proud daddy,Kelly did say she wouldn't have anymore but i think she will,shes a good mum and hope she will cope with two little ones,kye is really good with Leo he keeps going over to the mosses basket and just looking at him ,,,and he held Leo's hand when mark was changing his Nappie,,,how cute,,the picture is baby Leo,1 day old,anyway Andy is doing great his foot is looking a lot better and he is feeling good,the doctor has put him on blood pressure tablets and iron tablets which should make him feel even better,im ok just missing my family down south,jack and Lauren is back at school this week ,jack is starting secondary school so he is looking forward to that and Lauren is on her last year which means lots off hard work which she is not looking forward to,any way im going so ttfn,xx

well what can i say,Andy is doing very well after five weeks in hospital ,they didn't operate on him because there was to many big risks,his leg has gone down but still has a little swelling on his foot,he looks allot better ,two weeks ago now i was down south because my dad died ,but it was very nice to meet up with my family down there,i have family i didn't even no i had,missing them already,i stayed at my sister Angela's for a week really enjoyed it ,she has a lovely bungalow ,massive back garden,was good to se her ,not seen anyone in my family for a few years,everyone looking older,lol,stayed with my sister Julie for a night and had a good chat and a laugh,was up till 1 in the morning,then a couple of days later Andy came down with Lauren as he managed to get dialysis down there ,only Thursday till Sunday ,but he really enjoyed it we stopped at Andy's sister Angela's was really nice,she cooked home made bread while we were there was very taste,,cant wait to try it myself,,,Saturday night we went to my sister Joanna's 40 birthday party,was brill we never laughed so much ,Andy didn't want to go back home because he loved it ,he also met my mum for the first time which was great,,,,me and my mum had a nice day out shopping and lunch for the very first time alone which was really nice ,i think my mum has changed so much ,she seems more relaxed with her life ,and happy ,i don't think i never talked so much to mum that day,it made me realise how much i had missed her,i never stopped thinking about my mum so I'm so glad were in touch again,anyway will write again soon ,ttfnxx

Back to manchester

After the radio active test on Andy they found that a coil on Andy's pancreas had got infected and because Sheffield doesn't specialise with pancreas they have sent him back to Manchester,which could mean a operation ,Andy is really fed up because we was going on holiday in two weeks time so now we don't think we will be able to go ,I'm not going to cancel the holiday just yet I'm going to wait until after the weekend and SE if he has to have this operation,and i don't no if he has to have his pancreas removed or just the coil that's infected,its been a very stress full three weeks but hopefully we will Se some progress ,,,,probably not till next week because planed surgery takes time were as emergency surgery is a emergency,so i can see its going to be another two stress full weeks ahead,because Andy is in Manchester we are going to visit every other day instead of every day because traveling wears us out ,Andy's dad is worn out after driving to Sheffield every day ,well Andy has just phoned me and said it looks like he will have to have a operation ,,,and is just waiting to see the surgeon.so i will no more tomorrow,,,,,,,my daughter Kelly is 35 weeks pregnant and has been having a lot off pain today so I'm looking after my grandson while she is in hospital having a check up,i hope she hasn't gone into labour early ,,,,cant cope ,,,i will keep you up dated ,ttfn xxx

Still not better,

hi again,well after Andy having test after tests,he is still no better,so they decided to stop treatment and let his infection flare up again so they can do a test on him ,they take some blood do something with it then put it back in him while his in this machine and it supposed to attach to the infected areas so they can find out were it is coming from ,they think its in his groin were he had a stent put in ,if it is they going to operate take it out and put another in ,i cant believe its took them two weeks to do this ,Andy is in a lot of pain again and temperature ,also they might put a camera down to his heart to see if he has a heart valve infection ,but they said that a week ago,its ok i no he will get better its just the stress of traveling to hospital every day and looking after to kids and doing house work ,,,its tiring,and i no its tiring for Andy's dad driving to sheffield every day,iv not been well i keep getting really painful legs and bad headaches,it could be stress related but im going to my gp to find out iv had all the paras i can take in 24 hours and im still in pain ,well last week we had two new additions to the family two baby boys how sweet ,finley and jayden above and a new pic of Andy looking a bit better,ttfn xx

Ghosts

me and john (Andy's dad) went to see Andy today he is looking better although his leg and foot is still sore and still has a rash ,they are giving Andy warferine to thin his blood ,and he was told that they are going to put a camera down his throat to look at the back of his heart to make sure he has not got a heart valve infection ,so i hope they give him the all clear ,the other day i was at the hospital and a nurse was crying and shaking and someone was asking her if she was ok ,anyway i didn't think much of it till the next day i went in and Andy said a nurse walked into a empty room and saw a ghost,well i found out it was the nurse i saw crying ,no wander she was shaking ,in a part off the hospital it was a workhouse over 125 years ago then a hospital ,ive all ways felt uncomfortable in a part of the hospital its a long corridor you have to walk to to get to the toilets its always quiet but echo,s when you walk down there,i had to go to the toilets today and i was scared ,it sounds like someone is walking behind you but its just a echo i hope,,,,,,,i have put a picture to show you the long corridor, my kids have been quite good and help full since Andy's been in hospital which im pleased about because they normally play me up ,but they have been good ,jack had his d,a,r,e, at school yesterday which i missed but herd it was really good ,they never had anything like that when i was at school,Andy's niece had a baby boy today after being in labour for 48 hours or so bless her so congratulations Lisa and Kev ,xx, below is a pic of Lauren and jack as well .ttfn.ttfn,xxx.

What is wrong ?

Hello,its been a while so hear goes ,since my last blog Andy done something really stupid and signed himself out off hospital ,he was really fed up he said he was feeling a bit better andjust wanted to come home ,because the doctor said if his scan was ok then he could go ,so three hours after the scan he was waiting to see the doctor but he didn't come so Andy had had enough and signed himself out ,that was a Friday night ,by Sunday Andy was in a lot off pain with his leg and stomach so i said to him to see the doctor when he goes for dialysis on Monday ,anyway he went to dialysis and asked for the doctor but no doctor came ,so when he came home Andy phoned our gp ,and later on that night Andy was in hospital again sheffield this time ,they have done a lot of tests this time but nearly every day something new was wrong with him so we don't really know whats what ,one minute its vasculitus then its a bone disease then it might be a heart valve infection and now today it might be a infection from the last op from a stent he had done ,so we don't really no,i want to ask a doctor but they seem really busy when we are there,so when i get a chance i will,today he is still in pain with his leg and its still swollen with blood rash ,his on morphine for the pain ,and has morphine patches as well ,they might be giving Andy warferine tablets to thin his blood ,then they might be replacing the stent then they might put a camera down to his heart ,so all the might this might that is not going anywhere,so frustrating,but Andy is ok today ,the other day we went to hospital me and Andy's dad that is ,,Andy was out off it just sleeping talking rubbish and not with it at all ,he had a bad hypo that day and he had a lot of morphine for the pain,but it did upset us he looked so poorly even his dad said ive never seen Andy like this before,so i knew he was upset ,,,,,,,on Wednesday i had to take jack to hospital for a cheek up ,he might have to have another operation yet,so im worried about that as well ,im surprised im not in hospital yet with all i have had to deal with ,still life goes on ,,,,,,this is a pic of Andy in hospital,ttfn xxx.

Hospitals again,

its been a while since i wrote my blog because i got addicted to facebook so here goes,nearly two weeks ago i had to go to A and E with my son jack because he had a lot off pain in his middles,when we got there jack was in quiet allot off pain but after half an hour the pain went, so i thought hope he wasn't putting it on ,but he wasn't ,,,he was telling the nurse that he got kicked there at school twice that day ,which i knew nothing about till then ,any way they examined him and took some blood and decided to keep jack in for the night ,so i stayed with him ,in the morning the surgeon came and had a talk with us and it was decided that jack needed a operation to strap on of his testicles down ,so within a hour jack was having a operation ,his dad and step mum drove up from down south worried sick ,which was really nice off them ,and it cheered jack up,the operation wasn't long ,but after jack was in a lot of pain for a few days ,the Doctor said to keep him off school for two weeks ,its been ten days and jack is back to normal,he has a check up in a weeks time then its back to school,thank god ,,,,,,,,, and then Monday evening andy was in a lot of pain in his leg and all weekend he had a temperature and not feeling well at all ,so when i saw he could hardly walk i had a look at his leg and he had a funny looking rash from his ankle up to his thigh it was like blood spot rash ,so i phoned the doctor and we went straight to the surgery to see him ,the doctor took a look at him and said im sending you to hospital for further tests we don't want to leave this as it might be serious ,so we ended up at A and E again ,they kept Andy in for more test and put him on antibiotics ,tomorrow he is going to Sheffield for dialysis then he has to go back to worksop ,cant wait for the new dialysis centre at worksop it will so much easier, so at the moment we dont really no whats wrong ,but Andy says he feels a bit better today,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,it was my grandson kye 2nd birthday two weeks ago ,he got spoilt like they do ,but it made me realise how fast time has gone by,,,ttfn,xxx

family birthday

hello again ,well we have had a good week ,last weekend was Andy's dads 70th birthday ,so most of the family came up from down south and we had a bit off a party ,was a surprise but never ended up being one really ,we all chipped in and brought him a new tv ,which he loved ,i think he was really happy when all the grand children and great grand children sang happy birthday to him ,its nice having family up ,pity they didn't stay longer,,,,,,Andy is looking well at the moment even though i no he is not ,the doctor wanted to keep him in hospital last week ,but he didn't want to stay in ,because he said he felt ok ,he has had a scan on his stomach but he doesn't no the outcome off that, next week he is having a echo cardiogram ,and then a on that they put radio active in your blood ,so busy week for Andy next week,well im trying to get our back garden sorted still ,was cutting the front today and it started raining,so will have to finish tomorrow hopefully ,my daughter Lauren has just had a week down south which she really enjoyed,she went to a teens night club and meet a famous rapper ,and she went on the Brighton pier , ,,my son jack is still grounded and on his third week ,he was grounded for a month its that bad i cant tell you what he done ,i don't think he will be in a hurry to do something like it again ,apart from all that got nothing else to say ,so ttfn xx

,hello ,well its been a while now since i done me blog ,so this is going to be a long one, over the last few weeks iv been very up set and down ,with Andy and the the kids ,Andy's not been well again ,his not eating properly ,its like his eating but his eating the wrong food ,sweet and fatty foods ,im sure he feels down about his weight loss and is trying to put it back on ,,but being diabetic you cant just eat what his been eating ,like a whole tin off peaches in syrup,ect,just bad things like that ,so we git him some puddings with no added sugar in ,,but they still have sugar in them ,so his mum got him a bar off sugar free chocolate,he said its got no taste ,his gone off Sunday dinner with all the veg and goodness that he needs ,so at the moment he is eating what ever,the last two days have been bad ,he has had temperature ,shaking , feeling hot one minuet cold the next ,being sick ,and really sweating ,the bed was soaked this morning so i had to strip and wash ,yuk,lol,,,,,a couple off weeks ago i had a break with my friend Rachel ,we went to stay in a lovely farm house at her friends in braithwait ,andrea and cal who is a lovely couple ,it was lovely ,so peace full ,but with lots to se ,and the weather was brilliant ,had a great time ,only stayed over night and a day there ,so when i got home i felt i needed to have been away longer ,i will just have to wait till we go to skeg in august ,,cant wait because my friend Rachel is coming with libby ,so it will be nice cos Andy still has to have dialysis when we go ,and Andy don't like the sand ,so i will have some one to sunbathe with on the beach ,i still feel down ,,the other day i was in co op in a Que waiting to pay ,i don't no why but i just started to cry ,,,and i just thought to myself why am i being like this ,its not like me ,a friend told me to go to the doctors and ask for some anti depressant ,been ther done them they dont help when you get addicted to them ,and when you come off them you feel like crap again ,it does help having someone to talk to that dont judge you in what you are doing ,i try and talk to Andy ,and its great for a couple of days then i start feeling down again ,so im just taking the days as they come and go and hope one day we will live a happy normal life ,the kids are not very happy at the moment ,ones been grounded for a month because he has been and done something really stupid ,,,cant tell you what ,and the other is down about doing satts at school ,,,,,,,,,well i no it was last bank holiday since i done my blog and i was wrong about the weather ,so hopefully its going to be nice this bank holiday weekend ,,as we have family coming up and its Andy's dad 70 th birthday on Saturday so we are doing a surprise party for him ,then in the evening Rachel's having a eurovision party ,which will be funny ,so we are going to have a good weekend ,,as long as andy is well,,,,,,we are still trying to get our back garden sorted out in time for the nice weather,im going now just a few pics off me friends and granson ,ttfn xx

believe it or not its been a warm and mostly sunny weekend,today was warm and no rain ,,,,,well not been up to much ,looking after kye and gardening thats been my boring weekend ,Andy not been to bad this weekend he didn't put too much fluid on ,ive not got kye tomorrow so it would be nice to get out instead of gardening ,plus my back hurts after today ,could do with a soak in the bath ,,,,but haven't got one ,we have one of those walk in showers ,,hate it miss me bath tub ,well im off to bed now ,,enjoy the mini heatwave ,lol,,,,,ttfnxxxxxx

rainy may bank holiday ?

Andy's been feeling better these last two day's ,sleeping tablets not really working that much ,he goes to sleep then wakes up after a hour or so ,he has to take it easy on fluid this weekend ,we have nothing planned this holiday weekend ,Kelly's working all weekend so iv got kye ,i went to the doctors yesterday with bad tummy pains ,iv got another water infection ,,,,i seem to get them alot when im down ,don't no why ,,,,im on antibiotics for a week ,,,this morning i done a bit of gardening was in a bit of pain but i done it .,,paying for it now in lots of pain ,,,paracetamol not touching it ,wish i went out with friend Rachel now as i was invited ,but had to wait in for a parcel and it didn't come till 12.30 ,hopefully will get out over the weekend ,that's if the weather is ok ,it never is on bank holidays ,,,i no its going to be nice tomorrow so i will make the most of it ,anyway have a nice bank holiday what ever your doing ,ttfn xxx

Andy came home from hospital looking a bit better today ,his been put back on the transplant list ,at last, most of the fluid is off for now ,his got to have a chest xray and heart scan ,his eating well ,just need to get his sleeping pattern back to normal ,,his doctor changed his sleeping tablets and gave him some others to try so fingers crossed hope they work ,..because he has been keeping me awake at night coughing and itching ,driving me mad ,lol,i went to bingo tonight had a little win ,my stars say its a lucky month 4 me will see ,had kye today and took him round to my friend rachels house ,we walked in and kye got a face wash from their dog rueben ,lol,then scruffy their other doggy wanted a bit of fuss ,and then the other dog lept ,he doesn't normally jump up at you but did today ,lol,i love dogs ,if i didn't have a cat i would have a dog ,im shopping tomorrow so hope iys not raining ,and i want to get some of my garden done ,going now ,bye ,ttfnxxxxxxxx

arhhhhhhhhhhh

well this weekend ive been so fed up ,Andy's been so down ,he was over loaded again this weekend with fluid ,but u cant tell him ,so i fell out with him ,were ok now we sorted it and his going to try and cut down ,,all his done is sit in his chair drinking and smoking and he wonders why he cant breath properly ,,he said he gets thirsty alot and admitted his not coping with being a diabetic at the moment ,so today instead off drinking tea i got him some sugar free sweets to suck on ,and hope it works ,not been up to much this weekend had grandson kye ,done a bit more weeding in the garden ,nothing exciting ,Andy came home with a up date of medication today ,they have put him back on calcium tablets ,hope they keep a eye on him this time ,also he has to have a scan of his heart in a couple off weeks ,so hope that's ok .in November last year we had to move because off horrible neighbours ,i loved my house and we had a great garden which me and my mother in law done ,so when we moved in to the new house there was alot off work to be done ,thanks to friends and family we got most of it done ,the council gave us decorating vouchers ,and that's it ,and that horrible family are still there on a two year suspended eviction order and still causing trouble with people in the village ,whats this world coming too ,scum like that get all the help they need ,and we get nought,i phoned our council to see if they can help with the garden because its a right state ,andy had a fall its so bumpy ,they said you have to be sixty or over for them to help ,what about disabled people ,my mother in law is helping me with it at the moment shes nearly sixty five she shouldn't be doing it really but its so Andy can go and sit in the garden in the summer without falling over,because he is partially sighted ,its killing me so i don't no how shes feeling ,anyway im going now iv had me moan ,lol,ttfn xxx

fed up with rain ,

what a horrible day ,,when i got up at half six this morning the sun was shinning so i put the washing on the line ,as soon as stepped out the front door to go shopping it started raining ,we still went on our weekly shopping trip to worksop ,didn't get any bargains but then again we didn't finish shopping we had a phone call from Andy that he had to get to hospital by 12 ,because he needed extra dialysis and the doctor wanted to assess him ,so hoping to go tomorrow and finish ,Andy saw the doctor who just took some blood and that was that basically,he came home lighter but that's it till tomorrow when he goes back for dialysis again ,i had my grandson kye today he was good when we were shopping ,,hes not two till June and i think his quite forward for his age ,his mum rang so i said to kye talk to mummy and kye said hello mummy then he said shopping john and cilla ,car car ,which we was shopping with john and cilla ,then i hurd Kelly say bye bye love you and kye said bye bye love you more ,i thought it was so sweet ,but he sounded more like a four year old talking ,and this morning he said to me on on ,so i said what do you want on ,and he said fifi ,so i knew he wanted to watch tv ,bless,kye is football mad and he loves playing in the garden ,so the pic above is kye,ttfn

feeling down,

hello ,sorry not wrote for a while because iv been feeling a bit down lately and cant shake myself out off it ,normally i just get on with things and don't let it get me down ,people don't understand unless there going through the same thing as me ,i have a friend who stopped me today and asked me about Andy and we got talking because her husband is on dialysis we found alot to talk about but talking to her just upset me and i started crying ,its not like me ,i just feel as there is nothing in my life at the moment and i cant cope ,iv had nine years off Andy being ill and i just think is there going to be some time in his life were he is not ill and we can live a normal life,Andy is very down as well and i normally make him feel better but not succeeding at the moment ,we had a chat recently and he told me to go down south to my friend Sam's ,tempting but i feel he wouldn't cope with the kids at the moment ,and when i get back nothing would of changed,and all id do is worry any way ,and Andy has a way off making me feel guilty sometimes ,maybe i will feel better when the summer gets here ,i no Andy loves the summer and loves to sit out in the garden so me and his mum have been trying to get the garden ready ,theirs a lot off work to be done still we need someone to rotavate the garden and level it out then we can seed it ,then we need to dig up all the stinging nettles in the front garden and get rid off bricks that are buried under the grass ,so i don't think the gardens are going to be done till next summer,unless we win the lottery or something,Andy's not as bad as he has been ,but he has a lot of fluid on and got told of today because he was so breathless with too much fluid they had to put Andy on oxygen when he got to hospital today ,the doctor told him if he doesn't cut down he could end up drowning him self ,so i will have to make sure he cuts down ,sorry if iv bored any one ,but just thought id let you no how things were going,ttfnxx

have you missed me,,,well iv not been well the day after my birthday i was in and out the loo all day i was poohing like nothing and being sick at the same time ,in the end i just collapsed on the bathroom floor i just manged to crawl to unlock it to call jack to get help ,i just had no energy in my little body left ,the worse thing is Andy couldn't help me get up he had to ring his parents to come round and get me on the bed ,then a paramedic came and assessed me and sent me to hospital were i stayed for three days ,i never felt so ill in my life ,i lost half a stone and felt very week when i came home from hospital ,im not to bad now made it to the shop and back today ,but it did tire me ,all i did in hospital was sleep ,pooh ,sick,then sleep,and worry about how Andy and the kids ,Andy's parents stayed with Andy and helped out which was alot off worry of my mind ,i don't no how we would cope without them,,,,,,would you believe as they were booking me in at hospital they had to book Andy in at the same time to treat him because he had a bad hypo in there,,the most embarrassing thing happened to me in the hospital ,i needed the toilet real bad but didn't make it in time and poohed myself in front of the doctors and Andy ,how embarrassing,doctors SE it all the time but my god i will never forget this ,the doctors done some test and couldn't find any bugs so they just said it was a viral bug ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Andy has been very ill ,something changed in him ,he couldn't get his words out he was slurring ,he kept walking into doorways and walls he nearly fell down stairs and he seemed very week ,his blood sugars very high ,and weight loss this all was happing to him last week and family and friends were noticing something was not right ,his mum was in tears when she come to Se me in hospital ,so i new i had to get home and get better ,today i decided to ring the hospital and talk to some one about Andy ,,so i spoke to the ward manger and i told him everything and he said he agreed with me that Andy was not responding properly and that he will talk to the doctor and get back to me ,so half an hour later the doctor phoned me and i explained all and she said that Andy's calcium levels were very high and that she told Andy to stop taking calcichews over aweek ago but he forgot and was still taking twelve tablets a day ,so she said this can cause Brain dysfunction and that she thinks this is what has happened with Andy ,so now she has put him on dairy free for three days took him off calcichew and some other tablets ,and they are giving Andy some more blood on Wednesday and see how he goes ,but if he doesn't pick up then we are going to do a brain scan to rule out mini stroke or anything else ,but hopefully he will pick up ,he is eating more than he was last week,so that's a good start,family and my friends have been great ,the kids have really helped and being their just makes you feel wanted,any way I'm going ,so tired,,,,ttfnxx

21 again,

well its been and gone ,had a lovely day ,i went for a meal this afternoon with my daughter Kelly and her boyfriend Mark and Mark's mum ,son jack and other daughter Lauren .and grandson kye who's still not well,Andy didn't come he was to ill as well,i got some lovely flowers from two friends ,some nice clothes and chocs and bits ,a electric knife from in laws which i needed,what a cold day i cant believe this weather at the moment,at tea time my in laws came round with a cake that cilla made it was lovely ,then my neighbour came round with a cake what she made as well ,iv never had a birthday cake let alone two,then i went to bingo with my friend carol we won a little back so it was nice ,got embarrassed when they announced my birthday ,was nice though,any way its all over till next year,Andy has got worse again over the weekend his got so weak and feels very tired ,and his not eating allot ,still breathless he nearly fell backwards down the stairs this morning ,if i hadn't been their to grab him he would of fell ,so tomorrow he is seeing the doctor ,he cant seem to get his words out it almost like his drunk but his not ,and its not his blood sugar because that can make funny ,so me and his parents are really worried ,any way the pic is me Lauren and Kelly,taken today at lock keepers in worksop,ttfnxx

retail theraphy .

i went into worksop with my daughter Kelly today ,it was very busy ,new look wasn't up to much ,i don't no if its me feeling older but i don't like this years summer fashion ,but i did find two new tops and a pair of shoes ,Kelly brought me a top and undies for my birthday (Sunday) 21 again,lol, i wish, it cheered me up shopping we had lunch as well,but my grandson kye was not well all he done was sleep ,he has got a gastric bug at the moment AL though he has not been sick today while we was shopping he was sick tonight and filled that many nappies,bless, Kelly had a little scare today and had to go to the hospital for a check up shes expecting a baby in august and she had a little bleed,mother and baby got the all clear after scaring Kelly half to death because they couldn't find the baby's heart beat at first ,Andy had dialysis today ,his still a bit breathless and coughing well,today hit me how much weight Andy has lost ,they changed his target weight he came of at 67 that's just under 10 stone he is normally 10 and a half,and he looks like he has aged by ten years ,so i cant help but wonder if their is something else wrong ,time will tell ,fingers crossed their isn't ,every one asks after Andy ,but not many ask how I'm feeling ,so i was happy when his mum asked this morning ,i do get down sometimes and feel that no one cares ,its hard because i feel that I'm on my own looking after my husband who has been ill for so long ,i even feel guilty that i went to town today and i wasn't in when he came back from dialysis,even though he didn't miss me he just slept ,i no I'm not on my own but that's how it feels sometimes .Andy's not got a life ,he cant get out and about like me and he has bad feet so he don't walk far ,and he needs some one with him especially at night because off bad eyes ,AL due to being diabetic.so who am i to feel like this ,,going now ,ttfn.xxxthe pic is of our new shopping centre in worksop,

still not recoverd

its been a while since i wrote ,well not been up to much ,Andy's been ill since last weekend he had a fluid over load and was very breathless,i don't no how it happened ,i think it was because he didn't eat well while he was in hospital and lost weight so when he was going to dialysis they didn't need to take fluid of because they go by how much weight you have put on ,if that makes sense ,so they wasn't taking enough fluid off and had a build up ,it can be life threatening you drown yourself basically,so he has had a extra 3 and a half hours dialysis this week ,and his still breathless and tired,I'm surprised they didn't keep him in hospital on Monday because he was in such a state he woke me at 5 30 am to help him wash for dialysis,it was awful seeing him like that ,everyone was worried ,he isn't as bad as last weekend he has had two more units off blood yesterday which done him good ,he is not sleeping well at night ,but slept nearly all day,today i have been doing a little gardening ,the garden is just awful don't no how I'm going to get it done,theres bricks layers of them under the grass u could build a ten foot wall with the ones Ive dug up today,lol,so I'm really aching now,yesterday was nice i went for a walk in the woods with me friend rach ,i loved it ,would of been better if it was warmer was so cold yesterday.so I'm hoping for good weather on Monday so we can go again (rachel).well I'm off to bed,ttfn,xx

mardy git

my daughter Lauren set the title because Andy's being mardy with her today,well he has to moan at someone .I'm just glad its not me ,it will probalby be jack tomorrow because he comes back from his dads tonight ,lol,i swear men has monthly's,lol.Andy still not well he is coughing well and very breathless especially at night when he lays down its like he cant breath,never seen him this bad before he keeps taking big breaths in ,and he has just had a hypo,so he ate nearly half a Easter egg and some cheese biscuits,i don't no if Andy has burst a blood vassal in his eye but he keeps saying he keeps seeing shadows ,or maybe there's a ghost in the house,lol,the hospital are keeping a eye on Andy's blood loss which is ok at the moment i say ok he has lost a little but not a dangerous amount,roll on the summer that's what i say ,mind you we have not had spring yet ,don't forget clocks forward a hour this weekend so we loose a hours sleep,somebody soaked my cat she was sat on the window ledge waiting to come in ,so i let her in the front door and she was drenched,so i think she was fighting with a nother cat or she was poohing in someones garden ,but nasty person ,so hers a little pic off me pussy tibby,ttfn,xxxx

home again

hello friends, went to see Andy yesterday at hospital with Lisa and Kev,on the way we went to meadow hall for a bit of retail therapy,just what i needed .it was a lovely drive pennines was covered in snow ,when we got there Andy was happy to see us because we didn't go on sun day,Lisa Kev and kids went home last night ,missing them all ready,i went to hospital with andy's mum and dad ,snow still on the hills ,when we got there Andy was just told he can go home that was 2 pm ,so Andy was ready in 5 minutes ,but we waited 2 hours for he's medication,so we didn't get home till 7 ,its nice to have him home ,but for how long this time ,he has got a chest infection ,on anti biotic ,and very breathless,Andy's not smoking and has not smoked for 4 weeks,so he's doing very well,my grandson kye has not been well ,he had a convulsion after getting high temperature and we took him to hospital and he has a virus ,today he kept being sick so hope he gets well soon ,the pic is one i took with me camera phone yesterday on the pennines ttfn.xxxx

Happy Easter

my mum went to see Andy yesterday with Kev and Lisa our relations from down south,Andy got his big mac he was OK but a bit unsteady on his feet.on the way to Manchester my mum said the views were stunning there were a little bit of snow on the mountains and even on the way back they went through a snow blizzard lol unlucky.today was great we woke up to lots of snow but it soon melted,mum got up and started cooking Sunday roast,i decorated my Easter egg as mum gets me and my bro the same one every year I'm getting too old for one now,lol Lisa Kev Leah Maxwell nan and grandad came round with their puppy cocoa, it was really funny when the cat saw cocoa her tail went really thick and she hissed at the puppy lol.we had a lovely roast dinner,mum didn't go and see Andy at Manchester today because the snow.but she spoke to him on the phone and she said he sounded happy because man united beat Liverpool.my mum has gone to bingo so I'm doing her blog. migraine

just to let you all no Andy doing well in Manchester,he hasn't had the pancreas removed or anything ,they are just keeping a eye on him ,the bleeding has stopped,and he feels better after having blood and a bit more fluid off,me and Andy's dad went to see him yesterday we got too Manchester in two hours not bad going ,but coming home it took three and a half because off traffic,i think we was stuck for two hours in Manchester,then when we got to the m1 it was just as bad ,so we got off m1 at meadow hall and went home via bawtry,by the time we got home my body was so tense and i couldn't calm and wine down,and had a migraine ,i had bad palpitations as well for a few hours ,so i went to my friend Rachel's and had a chat and a cuppa,which made me feel a bit better,but later on that night after massive headache i was sick ,i woke this morning with headache and body felt like i had a cold coming ,so we didn't go to Manchester today ,i feel guilty not going because Andy having no other visitors going,but its a long way to go when your not feeling well,i spoke to Andy and his ok today his had more dialysis ,and lots off blood tests,and understands why we didn't go today,but will be going tomorrow,Andy's niece Lisa and hubby and kids came up for Easter which is nice ,they are coming to Manchester tomorrow so i hope that the weather is better than today and they see the stunning sight on the pennines ,we didn't SE anything yesterday because weather was that bad,Andy has still not smoked which is really good,but last time he was in Manchester and he had not smoked for two years he got really down and started smoking again ,but i hope he doesn't,i don't really like Manchester hospital ,it didn't seem as clean as Sheffield and there is no telly on the ward ,Andy said the food is better ,lol,but wants a mc Donald's big mac tomorrow ,theirs one just around the corner,and another thing i noticed at Manchester right outside the out patience building is like a bus shelter for smokers ,were as Sheffield and worksop don't permit smoking anywhere near the premises, i feel better than i did earlier but need a early night,so ttfn.xxx

Andy's in manchester,

well i cant believe it ,Andy phoned me today from hospital and said ,their keeping me in because i need a blood transfusion, Andy had been passing blood he told me last night that he didn't feel well and that he was passing a little old blood ,and had pain again ,so me and his dad went to hospital northern gen (Sheffield)and took over night bag with us ,i new Andy was not right,because last two night Andy has been breathless and when he lays down he sounds worse like moaning in his sleep,that is when he was asleep i no his had two bad nights ,when we got to the hospital a doctor was with Andy he said to us that Andy will need some blood and after that he is being transferred to Manchester,because off complications with the pancreas on the bowel and the bleeding they will have to remove it,they cant do it at Sheffield so they will do it at Manchester royal infirmary,i talked to Andy ten minuets ago and he has just got there,(so good luck love and hope you don't have surgery tonight want to be there when you wake).i cant help thinking that all this would be over if they had sent him their ten days ago ,Andy said to me he just wants it out now ,he knows if they don't take it out it would cause more problems,at least his their now and hopefully they will take it out.you might not here from me for a few days as i will be in Manchester so ttfn,xx the pic is a view off the pennines we will be driving across tomorrow ,stunning views,

Andy feeling better today after dialysis i think he is back to his target weight,he is still a bit tired due to lack off sleep and red blood cells are low.but that will be sorted in time ,he is getting about a bit easier today because i noticed yesterday he was a bit breathless must off been all the fluid ,iv not done a lot today apart from normal house work,felt a bit like mrs mop,but i did clean my son jacks bedroom out ,what a mess ,found lots off chocolate bar wrappers and empty crisps packets ,which he must of sneaked in his room because we don't let the kids eat upstairs,lol,i also got rid of broken toys and stuff he don't play with ,3 bags full,lol ,theres a lot more space now ,and I've got a spare toy box for my grandson kye which i have painted today,it must be at least 15 years old this toy box ,lol,should last another ten ,nothing else to say so ttfn,,,.xxx

hangover

today Andy had to have dialysis because he has excess fluid on ,so his dad took him at 8-15 they didn't get back till about 1-30,he looks better for it ,last night i went to my friends Rachel and Paul's for Irish night ,it was great,Andy's mum and dad came and there was other friends there that we know ,Andy didn't come because he didn't feel well ,Rachel cooked a lovely meal all Irish food, and she made a lovely bannoffee pie ,listened to music and had a great laugh Paul and Rachel played there instruments and sang a song,it was funny,loved it ,thanks Rach and Paul ,i drunk a bottle off wine last night so i have been a bit hungover today,iv not had alcohol since Christmas so not used to drinking ,i had my grandson today and i had to cook a roast dinner for 7 people with hangover ,but maneged it.i tried to have a nap this afternoon but kye was too full off beans into every thing,tonight i went to bingo with friend Carole ,didn't win a penny ,never mind ,might win Wednesday ,lol,hopefully I'm going to get a lie in bed tomorrow ,no kids at home and no baby to look after tomorrow ,ttfn.xxx

popped fistula

Andy's been for his dialysis today came back tired and slept for a few hours ,other than that his mood is a bit better today ,his not stopped eating ,I'm not worried though its better than smoking ,he has to have extra dialysis on Sunday because his still got to much fluid on ,so by the time he goes Sunday he will have even more fluid on ,a nurse popped his fistula last week so he has had a massive arm and its still swollen now ,i popped it once in hospital when they was training me to put Andy on dialysis,he said it doesn't hurt but it makes you arm feel heavy and tight. fistula sights in his arm are very ugly ,they never used to look like that but after being used allot they look horrible ,they look bumpy now. a fistula is a joining off a vein and artery to make a thicker sight to insert two needles which one takes the blood out and it goes into the dialysis machine and cleans it and takes any excess fluid off and then goes back into his arm threw the other needle,he has just got used to having the needles put in without numbing it first ,brave cos them needles are huge,lol,their is a little story in the worksop guardian today and a pic off Andy in hospital ,its about having a renal unit at worksop which is a ten minuet drive from were we live,we cant wait ,read for yourself ,,,www.worksop guardian.co.uk. had my grandson kye today he has been good today,we went out to post a letter and he went up to Andy and kissed his nose and said ta ta love you ,so sweet ,tonight after tea i went to my friend rach so she could dye my hair for me cos of all the gray ....hate it lol ,why do we have to go grey ,so thanks rach,ttfn.xxx the pic above is a fistula .

i don't think Andy has recovered from his op yet ,he is very tired and grumpy today again,my son jack is going down south to his dads this weekend for two weeks ,i wish i could just drop everything and go for a week anywhere on my own ,then i might be appreciated when i get back ,and also have a good rest while I'm away ,it would be nice,we got Andy's niece Lisa and hubby Kev with kids coming up for Easter so that's something to look forward to,and this weekend we are going to Rachel's for a Irish night,a few friends go we have laugh and Rachel always cooks lovely Irish food and play a little music ,Rachel and Paul are great playing music ,so looking forward to that ,Rachel made us some home made bread today so going to try some in a bit,(thanks Rach)been busy today went shopping this morning then done a little house work ,then had lunch ,then i had to go to the shops ,won 22 pound on a scratch card,then i picked my grandson kye up as Kelly was going to work she is on a all night shift which she's not looking forward to ,got home with kye and prepared a roast dinner ,Andy asleep at this point ,probably got tired watching me,lol.then Andy's mum and dad came round and friend rach with Libby ,then after visitors went had dinner washed up dried up ,no kids about to help ,Andy asleep again,lol,so I'm shattered,i feel like im going mad at the moment and cant cope with every thing thats goin on ,hope our lives get better soon cos i don't no how much more i can take ,i think Andy's had enough with illness ,i wish i had a magic wand to make every thing ok ,ttfn.xxxx

nicotine hell.

Andy has been to dialysis today everything fine ,but we have fallen out twice now ,his so mardy and was really nasty to me last night ,i can understand how he feels giving up smoking is really hard but his done it before,i smoke which probably don't help, but i don't smoke in front of him i go outside ,i think you have to want to give up smoking to stop ,I'm,not ready to do yet,id think we would end up killing each other if i stopped as well lol.i don't think Andy can have patches to help him stop ,don't no about gum ,so if anyone knows leave me a comment please ,well went to bingo tonight to get out of his way but his OK tonight,didn't win much only a fiver,short blog tonight having trouble with my laptop,ttfn xx

home sweet home

today Andy came home ,we was at the hospital and just getting ready to leave Andy there and a doctor came and said you can go home Andy ,so with five minuets Andy was packed and ready to leave ,we had to wait for Andy's tablets ,we Finally got home at 4 45,its nice to have him back home ,iv cooked him chicken x chips with mushy peas ,he ate the lot ,he said he fancied kfc that was the next best thing ,no kfc near home,lol,Andy is still four litres over on fluid but he is having dialysis in the morning and they are keeping a eye on his blood ,but they did say that if he gets any inflammation from the pancreas that he will have to have it removed in Manchester,so we are praying this does not happen ,Andy has not had a fag yet,hopefully he has will power to stay off them ,also today my friend Rachel told me that some one had stole her parents car and it was found this morning burnt out ,what low life scum bags who ever has done this ,i don't think they think how much it affects the elderly when some thing like that happens ,give my best wishes to your parents Rachel,any way going to go ,the picture is of Andy taken today at hospital,ttfn xxxx

busy day

today i have been so busy ,this morning i had to take my son jack to hospital he fell off a swing rope yesterday and his broken a finger and badly bruised two others ,so was there for two hours ,then i had to do lunch i had grandson today as well so it was even more hectic,then we went to see Andy at Sheffield hospital ,he is fine today ,he might be coming home tomorrow ,hope so, he is getting bored ,and the nicotine bugs are biting as he gave up smoking two weeks ago,his feeling better that's why he wants a fag,lol,so after seeing Andy went home cooked dinner fed kye ,washed pots kye went home then i went to my friend Rachel's it her birthday today so i took her some flowers and chocs,(enjoy rach)and happy birthday 21 again,lol,still your not as old as me,lol,the picture is of Andy on dialysis ,ttfn.xxx

today Andy is a lot better he was waiting in the corridor for us today ,his not moaning yet but he did say he was bored,he looks like a hamster today because he has a lot off fluid on his face looks like his storing food inside his mouth coz chubby cheeks,lol,he said his about five litres over,most renal patients don't pass urine, because the kidney filters it, but if you have not got working kidneys you retain fluid ,then its taken off through dialysis ,Andy was on a litre fluid restriction per day ,if you have to much fluid it can cause all sorts of problems like high blood pressure breathlessness and worst case heart attack.ect,Andy having dialysis in the morning so i no he will be ok ,on the way home today i got a call on my mobile from a lady saying that she had jack at her house because his hurt himself, when i got home jack had two bumps on his head and said that his fingers were sore ,but they didn't look to bad .as time went on jacks fingers have started to swell up ,so i will take him to my gp in the morning and see if he needs a xray ,i have been to bingo tonight with my daughter Kelly and friend carol .we didn't win a penny ,well cant win all the time ,going to bed now so ttfn.xxxx

just a short blog today just to let you no Andy is doing very well his eating lots ,and his not on any drips anymore which is a good sign ,we are all waiting for Andy to start moaning because he always moans to come home when he feels better,Andy said he didn't get much sleep last night because off allot off noise and cant wait to come home for a bit of peace and quiet,lol,would just like to thank all the surgeons doctors and nurses for looking after Andy at the northern general hospital on vickers two and hdu,THANKYOU VERY VERY MUCH,from all the family,ttfn.xxthe picture is off Sheffield's kidney institute.

on the mend

had a little trip out this morning with me friends and brought myself a new pair of boots as i really needed some they were that bad the heel had a rattle in them so every time i walked i could here a rattle ,was embarrassing when i went to hospital and it so quiet every one herd the rattle,lol,we had good news today from Andy that he wont be going to Manchester after all ,the doctor has said that the pancreas should just shrivel up and that it should be OK ,they also said he can start eating soft food to start with and see how it goes ,i learnt today that Andy had nine units off blood in the end ,I'm so relieved that he is not going to Manchester because its so far from home and we was not looking forward to the trips across the pennines ,Andy's dad would of taken me,i think his glad as well ,my in laws are fab they do anything for us ,his mum has fed me all week because she knows that i wouldn't of cooked for myself which is nice ,Andy's dad was going to give one of his kidneys to Andy he had all the tests and kept himself fit by walking every day ,the blood test came back and they were a match but they couldn't do it in the end because Andy was not well enough and he had something wrong with his blood at the time ,then as time has gone on Andy cant have a living donor ,so its a shame because i would of gave him one of mine,Andy's still very tired because he isn't sleeping well at the moment ,i will be glad when he is home ,the weekend is here again its gone so fast this week ,don't think i will be doing any thing much ,don't anyway ,have a good weekend ,ttfn,xxx

what no bed

today i have been really tired ,we went shopping this morning at worksop ,then had dinner and then went to hospital ,Andy a bit tired today ,they let him eat last night so he had some wheetabix ,only a little bit to eat ,then Andy said he felt sick after that ,Andy's friend Paul came with us to hospital today ,so it cheered Andy up abit ,when the same people go every day you don't no what to talk about sometimes and you just end up sitting and looking at each other,so its nice to get different visitors ,well Manchester did have a bed for Andy this morning but then they had to give it to someone else ,so were still waiting ,at the hospital there is this lady and she had just had a transplant well you wouldn't believe it ,she was sat up, right as rain chatting away, i was amazed how well she looked after a 6 hour operation ,she must of been very well and fit to have a transplant because she looked about 70 not being rude,she could talk for England even one of her Friends told her to shut up a minuet and drink your tea ,lol.anyway lets hope and pray for a bed tomorrow ,fingers crossed didn't work ,lol.ttfn xxxx

still not at Manchester,today has been hard for Andy because his feeling much better but his nil my mouth and he said he is really hungry ,he cant eat because when they have a bed for him at Manchester he might be having the operation straight away .i am worried in case he goes down hill again and will need urgent surgery ,why do we all think the worse when someone is ill,Andy's sister went back home today after seeing Andy ,they left Sheffield at 3 30 ,and was still on the m1 at 7 30 ,then they have to join the m25 which is bad because of road works at the moment so they have had a slow journey home ,4 hours is bad enough but six hours is boring and so uncomfortable,Andy had dialysis this morning and they gave him two units of blood while he was on ,he told me if he isn't allowed to eat he wants to go home ,he must be feeling better because he starts moaning allot,lol,like they do,still abit sore but coping ,i didn't sleep much again last night i keep waking up ,last nigh i turned over to find my son jack in bed with me so i cuddled him instead ,he keeps asking whens Andy coming home ,i think his missing him abit now ,but he doesn't really understand what Andy's been through ,Lauren asks every day after school how he is and my older daughter phones at least three times Day to ask how his doing ,his niece who couldn't make it here because off illness her self sends her love and leaves little messages on our blog which is nice,(THANKS HAVE SENT YOUR LOVE)XX,well fingers crossed they have a bed for Andy tomorrow ,ttfn,xxxxxxxxx

after all the worry and stress ,me and Andy's parents went to hospital Sunday afternoon ,Andy was still in hdu , we was amazed how well Andy looked ,although he was very tired and week from it all plus he had a operation in the night to stop the bleeding he was happy ,i don't think any off us including Andy realised how bad Andy got even the staff nurse said that they thought they were going to lose him ,in the end it was a race against time to pumping blood into him and stopping the bleeding at the same time ,Andy had seven units off blood in the end,so we would like to say thank you very very much to the surgeons and staff nurses and doctors for saving his life ,and thank you to everyone out there who donates there blood,with out that i don't think Andy would be her today so thank you ,on Monday when we went to hospital Andy didn't remember being in hdu or that his mum was there the day before,he was saying that all the staff were saying to him we thought we lost you ,Andy's sister and brother in law and niece traveled up from worthing west Sussex to see Andy which is really nice because we don't get to see them much because Andy's sisters husband is paralysed from the waist down after being in a car crash ,so today we all went to the hospital ,Angela Andy's sister walked in first Andy was asleep and she just stood over him and kissed him and he woke with a big smile on his face ,he was really happy to see them ,he was in a bit off pain today and he said he cant wait to get to Manchester to get the operation over with,we are just waiting for Manchester to ring to say they have a bed then they will take Andy over there in a ambulance and hopefully i will be able to go with him ,my good friend Rachel came round for a drink today she told me that her family and friends have been praying for him ,which i thought was lovely,shes been a good friend too me like a sister ,and her hubby Paul is a lovely man ,we left hospital about four o'clock today visiting hours are over at 3 30 ,but they didn't mind ,cant wait to See Andy tomorrow as i really miss him and worry about him ,i didn't sleep to well last night i kept waking up and turning over to cuddle him but he was not there ,Andy is having more blood tomorrow while he is on dialysis ,so i don't think we will be going to Manchester tomorrow ,i just hope that nothing else happens to him because Andy gets a bit down when his away from home to long ,Andy's sister is going back home tomorrow because her husband Jeff is having a operation on Friday ,so they are going to the hospital to see Andy first ,will miss them ,but they are coming back up in may ,anyway iv got to go I'm very tired so ttfn ,xx the picture is of andy on dialysis

Friday night i was out with my friends having a lovely meal ,when i returned home Andy was feeling really ill he was dizzy and felt sick and had stomach pains,then he was really sick ,i was really worried ,then he said would you ,help me to bed,so i took him upstairs and at that point i realised how week he became ,he went into the toilet and then got into bed ,i went in the toilet after him and noticed a lot off fresh blood in the toilet ,so i asked Andy if he new he was bleeding and he said no but he said he had diarrhoea ,so i said to Andy if your bad in the morning i will phone the hospital,well Andy was up and down all night and i was with him ,Saturday morning and Andy was still really ill ,so at ten am i phoned Sheffield were Andy goes for dialysis and spoke to a staff nurse who was very nice and i explained to him about Andy and he told me to phone 999 ,so i did ,and explained to this lady that Andy was a dialysis patient and was being sick and the dizziness and stomach pains and blood loss ,and she asked me if Andy was breathing and conscious,so i said yes,and she said well I'm sorry but i cant send a ambulance to you because its not urgent but i will get a nurse to phone you back you will be priority,i couldn't believe it ,so twenty minutes later a nurse phoned me so i told her everything ,then the nurse said I'm going to talk to someone and i will get back to you ,so ten minuets or so later nurse phoned back an said that she was sending a paramedic to assess Andy so i said thank you ,half an hour later paramedic turned up to assess Andy ,he was very good with Andy and said he was going to try and get him a ambulance directly to Sheffield if he can ,anyway after five minuets on the phone tryng to get Andy admitted into hospital he came in and said Andy will be taken to bassetlaw hospital because Sheffield has not got that admission policy ,which i thought was a complete waste of time because i knew we would end up in Sheffield because bassetlaw does not have a renal ward ,so we got to bassetlaw hospital and the the staff was very quick and doctors was brilliant attending to Andy,which we can not fault in any way ,well it was about three thirty when they came into to Andy and said that he was really poorly and that they were transferring him two Sheffield by blues and twos,at this point i was really upset and a bit angry because Andrew was suffering ,and on the way to Sheffield Andy's blood pressure dropped and i was aware that at that moment he was in trouble and the ambulance had to pull over and sort Andy out ,it was very frighting,anyway we got to Sheffield and the staff was absolutely brilliant with Andy they all know Andy because he has spent allot of time on that ward .it was a mad for abit lots of doctors around Andy he needed a blood urgently and that followed by dialysis ,they was very concerned and said Andrew was critical,after three hours Andy was still critical but stable ,so me and Andy's dad went home ,but kept in touch with the hospital ,i was really upset and felt guilty leaving him but there wasn't anything i could do,at 4am the phone rang Andy had a turn for the worse his blood pressure had dropped and had lost allot of blood again,and they said he was going to theatre and then going to high dependence unit, i was very worried and later managed to get back to the hospital with Andrews parents ,when we arrived Andy was a bit better they had managed to stop the blood loss and told us that he was bleeding from his pancreas and that he needs surgery to remove it but they cant do it at Sheffield he will have to be transferred to Manchester royal infirmary tomorrow ,anyway we left Andy to sleep as he was very tired ,and were just waiting for a phone call now to say they are transferring him,I'm not annoyed with any staff or doctors and nurses or the paramedics because they do a brilliant job ,but its all that time wasting tryng to get him into hospital ,i feel if bassetlaw had a renal unit like Sheffield and doncaster my husbands treatment would not of been delayed,will not be about for a while I'm off to Manchester with hubby ,so ttfn,and thank you to all our family and friends for being there.xxxx

birds

Andy still no better today ,his very tired and week and keeps feeling dizzy and sick ,his sleeping well lately ,but still got a bad cough ,after five days off antibiotics i thought he would be better ,he looks awful today ,i went shopping today i brought mother in law a bird bath she loves watching the birds in fact as soon as she opens the curtains in the morning they all fly down from the trees ,and wait to be fed ,she feeds them sultans and nuts and fat balls ,she's like bird lady lol,i had my grandson last night and took him shopping he was good as gold ,not got much to say today ,so ttfn,xx
